Studio Assistant / Job Description

Wol Hide is looking for a highly organized, motivated and detail oriented person who can manage daily and seasonal tasks, help keep the studio operation organized and handle e-comm customer service. Experience with spreadsheets, Adobe and Shopify is great but not required. Knowledge of garment construction and spec sheets is a plus. This is a part time job with a lot of flexibility but the business has seasonal ebbs and flows of busyness where more time might be required during the busy periods. This position would be great experience for someone who wants to see and be involved with the entire process of a product from concept and design through production to sales and marketing.

Daily / Weekly tasks

  • Customer service - answering customer questions, guide customers on any fit questions, processing any special requests, returns and exchanges in Shopify
  • Reconcile inventory and visit our (close by) warehouse if needed to inspect a garment or check on an inventory discrepancy
  • Help pack e-comm orders when needed
  • Pick and pack local pickup orders and coordinate with the customer to either be picked up in person at the studio or at the shop below our studio
  • Assist with or manage any issues or tasks that come up that pertain to inventory, customer orders, shipping delays, garment issues, or website updates

Seasonal tasks

  • Measure samples and record on spec sheets
  • Organize & track incoming and outgoing production samples
  • Check production units and make sure they are to spec and that the correct specs are on the e-comm product page
  • Create e-comm products on website backend, upload photos, categorize products, edit copy for product descriptions
  • Order any needed trims and labels for production, ship to producers
  • Ship miscellaneous samples and trims as needed
  • Order packaging materials as needed
  • Work together to unpack production shipments and pack wholesale orders 
  • Make a seasonal newsletter schedule and create newsletter outlines in Klaviyo
  • Assist on seasonal studio photoshoots - organize samples, full looks and steam garments
