Sweatshirt Sweater : Earth
A medium weight raglan sleeve sweater with rib edges and a double layer rib collar. Overall textured stitch with a slightly fuzzy texture and oversized fit.
The Sweatshirt Sweater is a fully domestic sweater, knit in NYC with yarn from NY state. The yarn is made with 50% wool and 50% alpaca. The sheep farm is carbon neutral and the alpaca farm is a climate beneficial operation. What this means is that the farm has agreed to follow certain practices that allow it to sequester more carbon than it emits. I believe this is truly the way forward with textiles and minimizing our impact on climate change. This process isn't just a lesser of many evils, it actually has a positive impact on soil health. Having larger areas of healthy soil that can absorb carbon can make a huge impact on climate change. We're so happy to be supporting this type of farming with small farms trying to make a difference.
Each piece will vary slightly in color due to the undyed, unprocessed nature of the yarn. This is part of it's beauty and speaks directly to it's natural origins.
